And Eagle Valley, the rest of the valley is absolute scenic and serene which provide a beautiful background for leisurely walk. Once you enter the gorge there is a stream running through it which you must cross numerous times. The flowers, plants, and animals are just as fascinating. Built in 17th century, the Ongi monastery was among the largest temples in the country and was a home for over 1,000 monks. Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape is one of only four UNESCO registered heritage sites in Mongolia. The Orkhon Valley is a must visit for tourists to experience the nomadic and lush greenland of Mongolia. Karakhorum was ancient capital of Great Mongol Empire in XIII century till Kublai khaan, grandson of Chinggis khaan moved it to current Beijing, China. Visiting Karakorum feels like a pilgrimage when visiting Mongolia. The Mongolian empire stretched further than any empire in the history of civilization, and its centerpiece and capital was Karakorum.
- Day 4. Bayanzag, Land of Dinosaur via Ongi Monastry Ruin
The Flaming Cliffs also known as Bayanzag, area of the Gobi Desert and certainly live up to their name. The color changes according to the light from an orange red to a deep, glowing red in the evening. Pictures can’t really do justice to this amazing scenery. The ruined monastery of Ongi Temple lies on the banks of the Ongi River and it’s the halfway point between the two major travel destinations-the South Gobi and Karakorum. A large number of ruins including a tall stupa can be seen on the river and on the surrounding hills.
- Day 5. Climb up Khongor Sand Dunes
These are really impressive sand dunes reaching a height of 800 metres, are as wide as 27km and span 120km, of course they are always moving and changing. These sand dunes are also called the Singing Dunes (Duut Mankhan) because when the wind blows or collapses in small avalanches, it sounds like the dunes are singing. The blue sky above the lines of the sand dunes is spectacular.

Yolyn am is a deep and narrow gorge in the Gurvan Saikhan (Three beauties of the Gobi) Mountain National Park and the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains. The scenery is quite dramatic with sheer rock walls that rise to 2600 metres above sea level.

The “white stupa” look like a ruined city if you look at them from below. From the top of the hill you get an amazing view across the countryside.
