Overview of the Tour
Tour route will be started from central part of Mongolia with mountainous and wide steppes nature. Khugnu-Tarna National Reserve an amazing landscape where the scenery is spectacular combination of desert, picturesque mountain, river and green grassland. And then, we will drive to the northern region where you can see one of the world’s wonder -Khuvsgul Lake. There are many ethnics group in Mongolia and one of them are living in Khuvsgul province, Tsaatan (Reindeer herders). These reindeer herders are getting lots of attraction from domestic and international visitors due to their unique and unchanged way of life. You have an opportunity to experience their life style through this tour.

- Day 1. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar.
Ulaanbaatar is the capital of Mongolia. You’ll be greeted at the airport and accompanied to 4* hotel. If you arrive earlier here, we will take a city tour to some historic and cultural place where you will see the face of ancient and modern Mongolia. You may choose an optional city tour before enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore. Overnight in the hotel. (L+D)
- Day 2. Khugnu-Tarna National Reserve
It is an amazing landscape where there were sand dunes, trees, Rocky Mountains, grass land, and even a mineral water sources all in one location. The scenery is spectacular combination of desert, picturesque mountain, river and green grassland.
- Day 3. Khanui River & Natural Spring
Khanui River valley is 1-3 km wide until Khunui river, then the valley becomes a more narrow basaltic canyon with 20-30m deep. This area was covered by basalt as south and north Khuis-Mandal volcanoes exploded in early time.
- Day 4-5. Khuvsgul Lake
The lake is magnificent and one of the world’s great natural wonders. It can be easily your favorite place in the northern Mongolia. The water is crystal clear so that you can see the bottom of the lake about a mile below. It is 1,645 metres (5,397 feet) above sea level, 136 kilometres (85 miles) long and 262 metres (860 feet) deep. There is so much to do in this park – take a boat cruise to see the birds on an island, horseback riding, kayaking and canoeing, birdwatching or checking of the wildflowers in bloom. Don’t miss the sunset, it’s beautiful.
- Day 6. Amarbayasgalant Monastery
Taj Mahal, Angkor Wat, Vatican, Jerusalem, Machu Picchu, Lhasa, Pagan – of all the greatest spiritual centers on earth, there is none today more authentic, purer, nor more spiritual than Amarbaysagalant. This monastery is about 350 km from Ulaanbaatar but is worth the trip.
- Day 7. Return to Ulaanbaatar via Terelj National Park & Chinggis Statue Complex
Terelj gives just a glimpse into the scenic majesty of Mongolia. You can hike up hills, or galloping on horses with a nomadic locals under the eternal blue sky. Chinggis Khaan Statue complex is an incredible piece of engineering and the largest statue on a horse in the world. The statue is beautifully done and surrounded by the mountains makes it a picture-perfect place.
- Day 8. Departure
You may choose an optional city tour where you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before leaving for your home soil.
