Terelj gives just a glimpse into the scenic majesty of Mongolia. You can hike up hills, or galloping on horses with a nomadic locals under the eternal blue sky. Karakhorum was ancient capital of Great Mongol Empire in XIII century till Kublai khaan, grandson of Chinggis khaan moved it to current Beijing, China. Visiting Karakorum feels like a pilgrimage when visiting Mongolia. The Mongolian empire stretched further than any empire in the history of civilization, and its centerpiece and capital was Karakorum.

Splendid national park and the privilege of seeing some of the planet´s only wild horses. The Hustai National Park is definitely worth a visit if you appreciate nature and wild animals! As usual with wild animals, the best time for spotting them is in the morning or in the evening. This is a wonderful place to see the famous Takhi horses up close and personal.
